From a vector to a fixed-size image
SVG describes shapes, while PNG stores pixels. The converter uses the SVG’s declared dimensions, or its viewBox when both dimensions are omitted. Large images are reduced to the displayed export limits. Keep your SVG for future vector editing. External images and fonts may not render; embed resources in the SVG before converting.
Common questions
Can I enlarge the PNG without losing sharpness?
A PNG has a fixed number of pixels. It does not retain the SVG’s ability to scale as vector shapes. Use the original SVG if you need a different rendering size later.
Why does an SVG look different in the preview?
Some SVG files depend on fonts or external resources that are unavailable in an image-only browser context. A self-contained SVG with text converted to paths is more predictable. Check the preview before exporting.
