Crop without stretching your image
Cropping removes the edges of an image without changing the proportions of what remains. Use a square for a profile image, 16:9 for a landscape composition, or 9:16 for a portrait layout. The selection is applied to the full-resolution original, not the smaller preview.
Common questions
Can I use the cropper on a phone?
Yes. Drag the selection and its handles with touch. On a keyboard, tab to the crop selection or a handle and use the arrow keys to move or resize it.
Does cropping lower image quality?
The tool keeps the selected pixels without enlarging them. PNG uses lossless export; JPG and WebP use the quality setting you select. Very large crops are reduced to the displayed export limits.
