How to use this tool

  1. Choose an image from your device.
  2. Enter the width and height. Keep the ratio locked to avoid stretching.
  3. Resize, check the result, and download the image.

Resize to match where the image will be used

Pixel dimensions control how much space an image can cover on a screen. Keep the aspect ratio locked for a proportional resize. Unlock it only when you want to change the proportions. Enlarging adds pixels through interpolation; it does not recover missing detail or improve the original photograph.

Common questions

What is the difference between resizing and cropping?

Resizing changes the dimensions of the whole image. Cropping removes part of it. If you need a different shape without stretching your subject, crop first and then resize.

What dimensions can I export?

Each side can be up to 8,192 pixels, with a maximum of 16 million pixels in total. Limits protect browser memory. Smaller dimensions are recommended on phones or when your browser cannot create a large image.
