Does converting JPG to WebP improve sharpness?
No. Conversion changes encoding, not the amount of real detail in the original. A higher quality setting reduces additional encoding loss but cannot restore information already missing.
What if my browser cannot export WebP?
The tool includes a local WebP encoder for browsers such as Safari that cannot export WebP from canvas. Encoding still happens on your device. If encoding fails, the tool reports the error and does not offer a mislabeled download.
